William L. Alsip

William L. Alsip of Mt. Orab, Ohio passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the age of 96.  He was born to the late William and Annie (nee Jones) Alsip on June 6, 1924 in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

William is survived by his nephews Charles (Aline) Perkins of WIlliamsburg, Kentucky, and Richard "Rick" Stauss of Blanchester, Ohio; and great nephew Matthew (Rhonda) Perkins of Williamsburg, Kentucky; along with several other nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

In addition to his parents Williams was also preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Frances E. Alsip, and all his brothers and sisters.

William was retired from Teamsters where he drove a truck for over 40 years, he was also a member of the Southside Baptist Church. William was also a past Master of the Bethel Lodge #61, he also served in the Navy for 3 years until the end of World War II.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Megie Funeral Home located at 104 Spice St., Mt. Orab, OH 45154.  Family and friends will be received beginning at 11:00 am until the time of service.  Burial will follow at Mt. Orab Cemetery.  Rev. Jason Jordan officiating.
