NOAKES, William I., 77 of Wildwood, FL formerly of Milford, died Wednesday September 17th. Mr. Noakes was the former owner and operator of Noakes Funeral Home in Milford; he was a member of Milford First United Methodist Church, a fifty year member of Milford Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM, the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati and a past board member of the Milford Miami Township Chamber of Commerce where he was very involved with helping start what is now Milford Frontier Days. He enjoyed camping and was a member of National Camping Travelers and was a US Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He is survived by his wife Evelyn Noakes, his daughters Cheryl L. Noakes and Melissa Borger and six grandchildren; Treva, Leah, Valerie, Sydney, Joseph and Michael. He is preceded in death by his brother David and a sister Jeanie. Funeral services 12 Noon Wednesday with visitation from 10AM till time of service, all at Craver-Riggs Funeral Home & Crematory, Milford. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of memorial contributions to Cornerstone Hospice 2445 Lane Park Rd. Tavares, FL 32778 or to the charity of your choice.
