William Howard Schmidt

William Howard Schmidt of Sardinia, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the age of 93. He was born October 3, 1931, to the late Victor and Marlyn Schmidt.

William is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joan (née Crawford) Schmidt of Sardinia, Ohio; his children: Bill (Melissa) Schmidt of Cold Spring, Kentucky, Brigette Rhoades of Tipp City, Ohio, and Nicole (David) Gould of Sardinia, Ohio; his grandchildren: Benjamin Schmidt, Grace Schmidt, Claire Schmidt, Sarah Rhoades, Kelly Rhoades, Emily Rhoades, Skylar Gould, Madison Gould and Hunter Gould; his siblings: Charles Schmidt of Sardinia, Ohio and Juanita (David) Yazell of Sardinia, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Michael Rhoades, and his siblings: Carol McCann and Jimmy Schmidt.

William was a retired truck driver, and he served in the US Army in Germany. He loved to travel.

Funeral service 12 PM Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Sardinia Hope Church, 105 S. Main Street, Sardinia, Ohio 45171, where family and friends will be received from 11 AM until the time of service.
